Small abstract oil paintings up to 100cm, developed through the same physical, process-led approach as the larger works.

Working with palette knife and squeegee, the paintings are built through energetic applications and layers of impasto oil paint, creating texture and a strong sense of surface and depth. Chance outcomes are embraced as part of the process, allowing material and gesture to shape the final image.

​

Bold colour and shifting light effects suggest affinities with abstract expressionism, while remaining grounded in contemporary painting and ideas of process and material rather than fixed imagery.

​

These smaller-scale abstract oil paintings are versatile across a range of interior spaces, from domestic settings to corporate environments. The compositions can be rotated, offering multiple orientations and readings within a single work.
