This method of painting is arduous and challenging requiring energetic applications and layers of impasto paint applied with a massive squeegee to create texture and extraordinary physical depth. Gerhard Richter renowned for his dynamic work is my influence here.

I believe my squeegee painting’s bold and powerful colour and light effects suggest stylistic affinities to abstract expressionism with more importance upon ideas about contemporary painting and conceptualism than individual imagery.
