St Ives Paintings
"Though I sang in my chains like the sea.” Dylan Thomas.
Allan has the privilege of exhibiting with Art House Gallery in Island Square for over fifteen years and a lifelong love for St Ives’ creative buzz and renowned light.

With a passion for the sea as both surfer and swimmer, the artist is highly sensitive to the Atlantic’s elemental forces; its crashing waves and relentless surging currents stimulating a profound adrenaline and raw power Allan has to translate onto canvas.

Then at certain times of the day, especially in the early evenings, a sense of calm and contemplation falls upon these silent seas; creating a spiritual dance and delicate harmonisation where human emotion is captivated by nature’s awe inspiring depths.

Like an oil painting, the sea speaks a transcendental language; unchained it flows free, yet is bound by limitation.
