Colourfield painting is primarily the work of three abstract painters Rothko, Newman and Still and is characterised by large areas of  more or less flat colour, devoid of distraction and preoccupation with everyday life. I have used complex and contemplative rich velvet colours to suggest a vast and limitless mystique.

Musical icons Prince, David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix brought shades of Ultra Violet to the forefront of western pop culture as personal expressions of their non-conformity.
